Richard Childress Racing Signs Deal With Restaurant Chain Cheddar’s

Richard Childress Racing has landed a sponsorship deal with Darden Restaurants brand Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen as part of a multirace partnership that will start this season. Cheddar’s is owned by Darden, the restaurant chain operator that also owns Olive Garden, Yardhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse and The Capital Grille. Cheddar’s did not formally announce the deal but shared a Facebook image this morning of two different paint schemes on RCR’s No. 8 driven by Tyler Reddick. The image caption read: “We are down to the wire on which wrap to choose for our No. 8 Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing that’s set to debut later this summer.” RCR Senior VP/Revenue & Strategy Jason Golden confirmed to THE DAILY that this is part of a new sponsorship with Darden, which is deploying Cheddar’s as the lead brand right now. The other main sponsor on the No. 8 this season is Caterpillar, and that is one of two cars that RCR enters in the NASCAR Cup Series.
